Acceptance of these terms

This website is operated by SmartFraming Ltd. By accessing or using the site you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. For the supply of goods and services, our Terms & Conditions of Trade also apply.

Use of the website

You may use this website for lawful purposes, to learn about our products and services, and to design your own building and ask us for a quote. You agree not to:

• use the site in any way that breaches any law or regulation;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or any connected system;
• introduce viruses, malware or other harmful code;
• interfere with or disrupt the site or its security features, or get around any usage limit;
• use robots, scripts, scrapers or other automated means to access the site or its tools, send designs, or collect content or results, without our written permission;
• copy, decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the site, the Frame Designer, the Mezzanine Designer or any other tool on it, or try to work out their source code, framing rules, layout rules, formulas, tables or calibration, whether directly or by studying the results they produce;
• use the site, its tools or their results to build, train, calibrate, test or improve a product, service, software or AI model that competes with SmartFraming;
• frame or embed the site or any of its tools in another website or app, or present them as anyone else's, without our written permission; or
• remove or hide any copyright, trade mark or ownership notice.

Intellectual property

SmartFraming Ltd owns, or is licensed to use, all intellectual property in this website and everything on it. That includes the text, graphics, photos, logos, designs and layout, and the software and tools on the site, in particular the Frame Designer (its source code, framing engine, framing rules, section and span tables, calibration data, take-off methods, algorithms, 3D models and databases) and the Mezzanine Designer (its source code, plan drawings, stair and layout rules, and algorithms).

“SmartFraming” and the SmartFraming logo are our trade marks. The parts of our tools that are not shown on screen, such as how the Frame Designer works out framing, are our confidential information and trade secrets.

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the site and its tools as these terms allow. We can withdraw it at any time. Nothing on the site transfers any ownership or other rights to you. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell or make derivative works from any material on this site without our prior written permission, except that your browser may make the temporary copies it needs to show you the site.

The Frame Designer

The Frame Designer lets you sketch a steel-framed building, see it in 3D and send it to us for an estimate. Its 3D views, sizes, room sizes and engineering notes are an illustration to help you plan and talk to us. They are not an engineered design, a building plan, a quote or advice, and they must not be used for construction, ordering materials or council submissions.

Final framing is designed by us, with specific engineering design where needed, before anything is made, and our Terms & Conditions of Trade apply to any quote and order.

You may save, print and share images and links of your own design for your own project, for example with family, your builder or your council, but not for commercial use. We may change, limit or withdraw the Frame Designer, or block access to it, at any time.

The Mezzanine Designer

The Mezzanine Designer lets you lay out a mezzanine floor, with its edges, staircases and pallet gates, and send it to us for a quote. Its floor plan, stair sizes and layout checks are an illustration to help you plan and talk to us. They are not an engineered design, a building plan, a quote or advice, and they must not be used for construction, ordering materials or council submissions.

The structure is designed by us for the use you choose, with specific engineering design where needed, before anything is made, and our Terms & Conditions of Trade apply to any quote and order.

You may save, print and share images and links of your own design for your own project, but not for commercial use. Floor plans carry our logo, which must not be removed. We may change, limit or withdraw the Mezzanine Designer, or block access to it, at any time.

Designs and information you send us

You keep ownership of your own plans, photos and information. When you send us a design or files, you give us permission to store and use them to prepare your estimate, contact you, and improve our products and tools. We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. Please only send material you have the right to share.

Information accuracy

Website content is provided for general information only and may change without notice. While we take care to keep it accurate and up to date, we do not warrant that it is complete, current or error-free, and it should not be relied on as professional advice.

Third-party links

This site may contain links to third-party websites for your convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, products or practices of those sites, and a link does not imply our endorsement.

Availability of the website

We aim to keep the website available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend, withdraw or change all or part of the site without notice, and we are not liable if it is unavailable at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SmartFraming Ltd is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website or from reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 where they apply.

If these terms are breached

If you breach these terms, your licence to use the site ends immediately, and we may block your access and ask you to destroy anything you have copied. We may also take legal action to protect our intellectual property and confidential information, including asking a court to stop the breach and claiming the loss it causes us.

Our collection and use of personal information through this website is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms of Use.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Changes take effect when published on this page, so please review it periodically. Continued use of the site means you accept the current terms.

Governing law
